Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects | EJ Savage Big Board @BoysNtheZone
1. Jalen Carter
Pass rush and run defender. 1 of the 3 consensus blue chip talents in this draft (other two being Anderson and Robinson). High motor, can play 1 or 3 tech with his athletic ability and power. Great anchor to hold up against double teams, great swims/dips in the interior rush as well.
2. Bijan Robinson
Amazing balance and ability to bounce off defenders. Shows patience. Great selection of moves with spins, juke, cut backs, stiff arms, and overall speed/quickness, great as a pass catcher, and solid in pass blocking although I wouldn’t consider him elite.
3. Bryce Young
Elite play making ability. Lifted his team overall despite having a poor supporting cast on offense. Great at extending plays and keeping his eyes down field. Does have running ability (but he’s very slight so he’s probably not going to get designed runs) overall leader, and if he was 6’0 210 pounds would without a doubt go number 1 overall.
4. Will Anderson
Saban raves about his work ethic and leadership. He’s one of the most productive players we’ve seen in years at the edge positions his 2021 stat line was (33.5 TFL, 17.5 sacks, 3 PD) and while 2022 wasn’t as good he still notched 10 sacks and 17 TFL. Doesn’t have elite bend, and he isn’t a Von Miller specimen at edge, but he will be very good for a long time.
5. Christian Gonzales
Elite traits with a combination of play IQ, Athleticism, and Measurable’s, wasn’t known for his ball skills but this year at Oregon he notched 4 INTs and 7 PD, I think he’s a number 1 corner for most teams.
6. Devon Witherspoon
Only one year of elite play, but he’s a dog. Safety type of hits and aggressiveness at the corner position. 3 INTs and 17 PDs last year, and great length and athleticism for the next level.
7. Tyree Wilson
Athletic profile to be a superstar at the position. Combines length, size, bend, and motor at the edge position, but he doesn’t have the elite production as some of the Edges of past drafts.
8. C.J Stroud
Perhaps the most accurate QB of the bunch, Stroud improved on his 2021 campaign, getting noticeably better at most facets of his game. He’s a guy that has all the athleticism, but he’s not great under pressure and shows he doesn’t want to run as much as he probably should.
9. Joey Porter Jr.
Aggressive corner coming from NFL bloodline, has incredibly impressive length with 34” arms, covers extremely well with things in front of him, he needs to improve his backpedal and overall technique, but he has impressive traits to be a lockdown corner at the next level.
10. Peter Skoronski
Possess a great understanding of the game, he has good enough power and great technique, lacks some anchor, but overall he’ll be a good tackle or guard at the next level. Plug and play starter on the O-Line.
